Md. Abu Sayed joined as deputy Managing Director of state owned Sonali Bank PLC. prior to his joining, he also severed as General Manager in the same bank. Earlier he promoted as DMD from General Manager through a circular of Financial Institutions Divisions on 9 April. Later he was posted to Sonali Bank PLC. on 24 April.

Md. Aby Sayed started his banking career as Senior Programmer (SPO) of Sonali Bank in 2004. He held different positions in Sonali Bank with efficiently and successfully such as local office, chief of different division at head office, different Principal office and General Managers’ office.

He Completed graduation and post-graduation in Physics from University of Dhaka. Later he obtained MBA degree from the same University. He also obtained DAIBB degree from the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh. He attended some professional training in home and abroad.
